This summer, I will be taking part of a 6-week bike tour across America, starting on June 24th in South Carolina and ending on August 7 in Los Angeles. This trip is run by Overland, an organization that provides summer experiences worldwide. This has been a long-term goal for me and I am not only completing the challenge for myself, but I am also doing it in memory of my late father, Jeremiah William O'Connor III. He was an avid biker and supporter of Catholic Relief Services.
As I am preparing for this bike tour, I have been influenced to bring even more meaning into the many miles I am covering throughout this journey. My father exposed me to CRS and the devastating issues in poor countries around the world from a very young age. He traveled to Africa with CRS to build wells in the third world villages of Ethiopia. This has had a long lasting effect on me and through this, I have decided to carry on my father's legacy. With that being said, I plan to raise $50,000 that will go to CRS to aid their efforts in improving the future of today's under developed societies. I would love for you to join me through your generous donations to help me carry out my goal; no amount is too small or too big to make an impact on the lives of those in need.
